- Send in application materials
- If we feel you meet the basic requirements for the program we will schedule online reading (CATRC) and listening tests (CCALT).
- If Chinese level is high enough we will schedule an oral interview (lasts 30-40 minutes). This is followed by an essay that is based on the interview content and chosen by the interviewer; due one hour after the end of the oral interview. Because it will be chosen from an online website students are required to have internet access at the time of testing. Recommend blocking approximately two hours time total for the test.
- If need be we will follow-up with a second interview.
Admission decisions will be made by mid-March. If we feel your language still needs improvement, we will ask you to attend the Qingdao summer program in June before going to OSU in the fall.
GA and financial support decisions cannot be made until mid to late summer when we have a better understanding of the student’s skills, character and experience.
