Drew Burns graduated from the Flagship Program in December 2008. After one year of study in Columbus, he spent one semester as a graduate exchange student studying international relations at Renmin University in Beijing. During his Flagship study he also interned as a case researcher at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).

After graduating he began work at Vtion Wireless Technology AG, taking the role of investor relations officer in mid-2009. He helped the company raise €45 million in an initial public offering on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in October of that year. Thereafter he was responsible for maintaining the company’s listed status, through investor communications, listing compliance work and capital markets advisory.

In August 2013, Drew established his own advisory venture, EKG Partners, Ltd., with a focus on both Chinese SME’s looking to raise capital overseas, and listed companies working to maintain their listings and raise their investor profiles; Vtion AG became an important client of this business.

In July 2014, after a six-year stay in Beijing, Drew moved to Hannover, Germany to join Paladin Asset Management InvAG. Though retaining several advisory mandates established through EKG Partners, he works full time as Paladin’s Director of Business Development. Paladin is focused primarily on the DACH-Region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), but has a strong China connection. Drew’s responsibilities include both evaluating and analyzing potential investments in Chinese public companies, as well as raising capital from Chinese institutional and private investors for the funds Paladin AM manages.
