2nd year Flagship graduate Jacob Parker has been promoted to position of Director of Operations with the USA Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. In his new position, Parker develops and oversees all operating functions of the USA Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo including the operation planning phase under the guidance of the Chief Operating Office, on-the-ground directing of USA Pavilion operations throughout the 6-month period of Expo, and break-down of USA Pavilion facilities immediately following the close of Expo. Specific duties include setting the highest standards of safety and security for USA Pavilion guests and employees, ensuring guest satisfaction through courteous guest hosting, set-up and maintenance of USA Pavilion IT systems, overseeing facilities maintenance and cleanliness, and coordination of all USA Pavilion logistics. He is responsible for building and overseeing an operations management team to coordinate all aspects of logistics, facilities maintenance and security. Work in conjunction with Expo Logistics Center, Expo Zone C Department, Expo Visa Department, the Commissioner General’s Office, CELO, VIP Suite Operations, Protocol, Entertainment, Communications and Cultural Programming Divisions of the USA Pavilion.
