Jake Parker leads US-China Business delegation to meet with Hunan Governor

Jake Parker, chief representative at the US-China Business Council’s Shanghai office, led a delegation of USCBC member company senior executives to meet with Hunan Party Secretary and Governor to discuss investment liberalizations and investment opportunities in Hunan province.

This meeting is part of a trade promotion event in Shanghai. Governor Du Jiahao and Party Secretary Xu Shousheng spoke at length about the “great opportunities” provided by China’s new Yangtze River economic belt, and how foreign investors can take advantage of them. USCBC members shared stories about current business and operating trends in Hunan and some expressed interest investing in the province.

Jake Parker, since graduating from the Flagship Program in 2010, has been working in Shanghai with a focus on US-China commercial operations, public private partnerships, non-profit management, policy analysis, and government affairs.
