Westerville, Ohio -- On January 28th, Flagship students Michael Hegedus and John Kamensky performed traditional Chinese arts for students from Central College and Robert Frost Math/Science magnet elementary schools at their Chinese New Year Celebration.

Capping a trip to southern China, an OSU delegation led by OSU President Dr. E. Gordon Gee met with leaders in education, business and government in Shenzhen introduced by the OSU Chinese Flagship Program and Columbus Culture Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen).
One of the most valuable and integral parts of the Chinese Flagship Program at the OSU is the unique internship experience offered to our students.
Matt Margulies, a member of the 2009 cohort of the OSU Chinese Master’s Program, has began interning at the Center for America China Partnership (CACP), a Beijing-based organization devoted to building genuine global partnerships in government, economics and business.
OSU’s Chinese Flagship students spent Sept. 5-12, 2010 in Guizhou working with Guizhou Rural Tourism Development Center, Guizhou Province Tourism Bureau and Guizhou Normal University on the World Bank loan supported “Guizhou Cultural and Natural Heritage Protection and Development Project.”
Continuing OSU Flagship’s tradition of success, Kara Babb, a member of the 2009 cohort, took 7th overall in the 9th Annual Chinese Bridge Competition. The Bridge Competition was an exciting and challenging component of Kara’s capstone year in China.
