Financial Aid


Students accepted into the OSU Chinese Flagship Program will be eligible for support from the following sources.

First Year

  1. University Fellowships. These highly competitive awards are made by the Graduate School to outstanding graduate students. Criteria include all admissions materials, including transcripts of previous coursework, Graduate Record Examination scores, letters of recommendation submitted on academic or business letterhead, an autobiographical statement, and recommendations from the Flagship. The application deadline for domestic students interested in applying for a fellowship is November 30. The deadline for international students applying for a fellowship is November 30.
  2. Graduate Assistantships. Applicants seeking a Graduate Assistantship are advised to complete all application procedures by Janunary and should express interest in a GA postion to the program staff.  Graduate Assistantships are normally awarded during Autumn semester (typically during the last week of September) for the following academic year.  These are competitive positions renewed on a semesterly basis and are subject to the availability of funds.
